The Prime Minister has already cooked the books.

November 18, 2025

In a very short time, the Prime Minister has already cooked the books.

The PBO recently revealed that the Liberals overstated capital spending by $94 billion and failed to keep Canada on a declining debt path.

After 10 years of mismanagement, Canadians are paying the price as operating budgets won’t balance and debt-to-GDP keeps climbing. The PBO also warns that the government’s expansive spending definitions break with international standards and mask the true fiscal picture.

Our party has been abundantly clear: Canadians deserve accountability and a plan that restores affordability and hope

Philip Lawrence joins me on the Blueprint: Canada’s Conservative Podcast to discuss the numbers, what issues lay ahead for Canadian checkbooks, and much more.

Costly Liberal budget

November 4, 2025

Today, the government will table their costly budget and Canadians have had enough of paying for their continuous failures.

Since the Prime Minister first took office, the government is spending more and more with the deficit now doubling while $47.6 billion of net investment has fled the country.

Worst of all, these economic failures have created a deepening youth unemployment crisis where over 460,000 young Canadians are out of work and has reached its lowest point in more than 25 years outside of the pandemic.

Shadow Minister for Finance, Jasraj Singh Hallan, joins me on the Blueprint: Canada’s Conservative Podcast to discuss these numbers, our plan to reverse over 10 years of bad economic decisions, and much more.

Panic at the Liberal Party

December 19, 2024

It has been an interesting (and eventful) week on Parliament Hill to say the least.

Just hours before Chrystia Freeland was to release a Fall Economic Statement that was expected to crash through the $40 billion economic guardrail, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister announced she had lost confidence in the Prime Minister.

Now, Canadians are stuck with a $62 billion deficit while the current government is imploding before our very eyes as several Liberals MPs voice their opposition and continue to call for the Prime Minister to step down.

Watch and listen as my guest, MP Greg McLean, and I go through the troubling numbers contained in the Fall Economic Statement, the internal drama within the Liberal Party, and much more.

It’s Budget Day! (but you may want to hold your applause)

April 17, 2024

As Canadians from across the country continue to witness the doubling of mortgage payments, massive interest rate hikes, and sky-high deficits without any end in sight, the Government is set to spend $52.4 Billion just to service their debt over the past 8 years.

Despite the troubling numbers, our Common Sense Team has presented 3 simple demands for the upcoming budget that would bring relief to those struggling to make ends meet:

🪓 Axe the Tax on Farmers, Food, and Fuel

🏡 Build Homes, Not Bureaucracy

💰 Cap Government Spending with a dollar-for-dollar rule to bring down inflation

Watch and listen as my guest, Jasraj Singh Hallan, and I discuss the government’s impending spending spree, how Canadians will be footing the bill, and much more.
