Exempting Farmers from the Liberal Carbon Tax

July 17, 2021

The Liberal Carbon Tax has been a massive burden on Canadians. Farms have been particularly hard hit by this leftist-ideology-driven policy that leaves farmers with no alternative but to pay the tax on tax directly out of their own pockets. To discuss this tax grab from the Federal Government and to shed light on his Private Members Bill which would exempt farmers from the Liberal Carbon Tax, we are joined by Philip Lawrence, Member of Parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South and Shadow Minister for National Revenue.

Supporting Family Farm Businesses

July 8, 2021

As the Trudeau government continues to ignore the needs and voices of Canadians our Conservative MP Larry Maguire has triumphed by getting Bill C-208 passed supporting family farm businesses by lowering taxes! While the Liberal caucus members decided not to vote in favour of this commonsense bill; this legislation will allow sustainable business and stable farm succession and, at the same time, secure retirement savings for business owners and farmers who sell their operations to family members. We have MP Larry Maguire to tell us more about his historic bill!

The Liberals are Taking the Speaker to Court.

June 30, 2021

The Trudeau government is challenging the power of the House of Commons, in order to silence any voice of opposition. They are suing Liberal Member of Parliament Hon. Anthony Rota, the Speaker of the House, for trying to enforce the will of Parliament. Today we have Gérard Deltell the Member of Parliament for Louis-Saint-Laurent and House Leader of the Official Opposition with us, who has been calling out the Liberal government to stop their cover ups.

Another Liberal Scandal

June 25, 2021

Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have been caught in yet another scandal. This time 97% of Liberal MPs given contracts worth tens of thousands of dollars to Justin Trudeau’s childhood friend and Liberal campaign insider, Tom Pitfield. The Liberal government continues to gift taxpayer money to party insiders without remorse or accountability. To shed more light on this corruption, we are joined by Michael Barrett, Member of Parliament for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, and Shadow Minister for Ethics.

Canada’s Housing Affordability Crisis

June 16, 2021

Canada is in a housing affordability crisis. It is becoming impossible for first-time buyers to enter the housing market, and ever-increasing rents squeeze families’ budgets. As Justin Trudeau continues to ignore calls to action from Canadians, the dream of homeownership is pushed further out of reach. This overwhelming unaffordability stems from the Liberal Government’s support for a system that doesn’t allow for the creation of sufficient supply, that favours foreign investors over Canadians, and which ignores ongoing money laundering in real estate. To shed light on this crisis, we are joined by Brad Vis, MP, MP, Member of Parliament for Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, and Shadow Minister for Housing.

The Winnipeg lab

June 11, 2021

Justin Trudeau continues to ignore threats to Canada’s national security from the Communist Party of China. Despite these threats, the Trudeau government granted a scientist from China’s People’s Liberation Army permission to work in the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, where the world’s most dangerous viruses and pathogens are handled. In addition, the government is refusing to answer why two government scientists were recently fired from the Winnipeg lab. When recently questioned on this issue, the Prime Minister hid behind accusations of racism and other excuses. To shed light on this issue, we are joined by Michael Chong, Honorable Member of Parliament for Wellington-Halton Hills and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The Failed Hotel Quarantine Program

June 3, 2021

During the beginning of the pandemic, Justin Trudeau’s government has said that securing our borders would make the pandemic worse. Nearly a year later, they enacted the disastrous hotel quarantine program. A haphazard patchwork of a policy that has led to reports of sexual assault, unsafe and deplorable conditions at these federal quarantine facilities. Since then, the Prime Minister has refused to adequately address these serious concerns. To shed light on the newest development of this crisis, we are joined by Michelle Rempel Garner, Member of Parliament for Calgary Nose Hill and Shadow Minister for Health.

Trudeau’s Attack on Free Speech

May 26, 2021

In a democratic society, abuse of power and authority must be called out without fear of retribution. While Justin Trudeau moves to radically change how Canadians use the internet, the NDP and the Bloc turns their back on our Freedom of Expression. To discuss this latest update on the massive attack on the freedoms of every Canadian, we are joined by Rachael Harder, MP, Member of Parliament for Lethbridge and Shadow Minister for Digital Government.

Maternity Leave Benefits

May 20, 2021

Justin Trudeau’s third wave is now costing parents their crucial time with their newborn children. As new mothers and pregnant women must reapply for EI maternity leave benefits, they may be forced to return to work within weeks of giving birth should they lack the necessary insurable hours. Although the Liberal government has left mothers behind before, it is critical that pregnant women and new mothers can spend time with their children. To shed light on this issue, we are joined by Raquel Dancho Member of Parliament for Kildonan-St. Paul and Shadow Minister for Future Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion.

The Liberal Budget

May 12, 2021

The recent Federal budget is a massive let down for Canadian who were expecting new jobs and economic opportunity for their families. As Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government fails to produce a growth budget, it instead risks Canadian’s long-term livelihood on a short-term, band aid approach to economic policy. To discuss the effects of the liberal budget on Canadians, we are joined by James Cumming, Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre and Shadow Minister for COVID-19 Economic Recovery.

Bill C-10

May 6, 2021

Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression is the cornerstone of our democracy. They are the rights that Canadians throughout our history have fought and died for. Despite this, Justin Trudeau is poised to give sweeping power to a government agency that will regulate the internet with no clear guidelines for how that power will be used. To discuss this massive attack on the freedoms of every Canadian, we are joined by Rachael Harder, MP, Member of Parliament for Lethbridge and Shadow Minister for Digital Government.

Justin Trudeau’s Third Wave

April 28, 2021

Justin Trudeau’s travel restrictions and border control has shown how ineffective policies are suffocating Canadian manufacturers and risking Canadian lives. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Liberal government failed to take the pandemic seriously and they continue to take a reactive approach in implementing policies that have come either too late or proved to be too vague for anyone to understand. Today, we are joined by Shannon Stubbs, Member of Parliament for Lakeland and Shadow Minister for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, to shed light on the consequences of the Trudeau government’s failure to secure our borders.

The 2021 Budget

April 21, 2021

This week, the Liberal government tabled their first budget in two years. From it, it is clear that Justin Trudeau’s priority is pushing his political ideology regardless of its devastating implication to millions of Canadians. While it is clear that we must secure our economic future by creating new opportunities, higher wages and lower taxes, this Liberal government continues to force Canadians into yet another expensive and risky project, compromising your financial security. To shed more light on the budget, we are joined by the Honourable Hon. Candice Bergen, MP, Member of Parliament for Portage-Lisgar and Deputy Leader of the Official Opposition.

The Upcoming Budget

April 14, 2021

Justin Trudeau again fails to understand that a budget is not a means-to-an-end to push his Ottawa-Knows-Best policies, but to structure a real plan to move Canadians past this pandemic. It has been unfortunate that the Liberals are pushing for an untested, and costly ideological plan, like UBI, rather than a data driven and common-sense recovery initiative. We are joined by Pat Kelly, Member of Parliament for Calgary Rocky Ridge, Shadow Minister for Small Businesses and Western Economic Development, to shed light on what we can expect from the upcoming budget and what this will mean for everyday Canadians.

Canada’s Recovery Plan

April 6, 2021

As we are round the corner of COVID-19, we have seen a distinct lack of leadership, transparency, and accountability from Justin Trudeau’s government. While this Prime Minister continues to put Canadians at risk of another taxing shutdown, they are also without a coherent plan on how we are going to get through the pandemic. Today we are joined by Erin O’Toole, Leader of the Canadian Conservative Party and Member of Parliament for Durham, to shed light on his vision for Canada’s recovery plan.

Mental Health During the Pandemic

March 30, 2021

After a year of lockdowns and quarantines, the Liberals voted against providing a data-driven roadmap to safely ease COVID-19 restrictions. Although mental wellness in Canada has been in decline since before the pandemic, over the last year, we have seen a dramatic rise in mental health issues, addictions, substance abuse, domestic violence and opioid overdoses. Today, I am joined by Todd Doherty, MP, MP for Cariboo-Prince George and Special Advisor to the Leader of the Official Opposition on Mental Health and Wellness to shed more light on this issue.

Economic Recovery from COVID-19

March 17, 2021

Since the beginning, Conservatives have secured support for workers in sectors heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, a year into the pandemic, too many Canadians have been left behind by this Prime Minister and his ineffective and tardy policies. Industries such as hospitality, tourism, charities, airlines, and small-and medium-sized businesses have been devastated. To discuss Canada’s economic recovery, we are joined by Ed Fast, Member of Parliament for Abbotsford, and Shadow Minister for Finance.

Another Liberal Cover-Up

March 11, 2021

We are joined by James Bezan, MP, Member of Parliament for Selkirk—Interlake-Eastman and Shadow Minister for National Defence to discuss the ongoing Liberal cover-up of allegations of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces. The affair escalated over the weekend when media reported that the whistleblower pushing for an investigation received intimidating phone calls from a “senior Canadian Forces officer” and a “senior member of the Canadian government” threatening his future military career if he testifies.

China’s Genocide of Uyghurs

March 5, 2021

As relations between Canada and the People’s Republic of China continue to deteriorate, our Prime Minister continues to be blind to the urgency of this situation. Justin Trudeau’s refusal to stand up to China’s genocide of Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims was a shocking moral failure of the Liberal government, and his continued inaction on stopping the Chinese Communist Party’s foreign influence operations in Canada is simply reckless. To shed more light on this issue, I am joined by Garnett Genuis, Member of Parliament for Sherwood Park-Fort Saskatchewan and Shadow Minister for International Development & Human Rights.

The Uyghur Genocide

February 24, 2021

Members from all parties voted to recognize the genocide currently being carried out by the People’s Republic of China against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims. While Justin Trudeau and his cabinet continue to turn a blind eye to this horrific conduct, their refusal to vote and stand up for basic human rights speaks volumes. To shed more light on this issue we are joined by the Honorable Michael Chong, Member of Parliament for Wellington-Halton Hills and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Join host and Member of Parliament Jamie Schmale for a look at the hottest topics hitting Canada’s political landscape, and how they might impact Canadians.
