Save our Snowbirds!

May 8, 2026

For more than 50 years, they have inspired Canadians, showcased the excellence of our Armed Forces, and encouraged countless young people to serve their country.

Now, after a decade of Liberal delays and no replacement plan for the Tutor fleet, Prime Minister Carney is prepared to ground one of Canada’s most iconic symbols without providing a clear path forward.

Cancelling the Snowbirds would mean losing not only the aircraft, but also the culture of excellence and institutional knowledge built over decades by the pilots, crews, and support staff who have made this squadron world-renowned.

Fraser Tolmie joins me on the Blueprint: Canada’s Conservative Podcast to discuss this shocking development, why the Snowbirds matter to Canada’s military future, and what must be done to keep them flying.

Join host and Member of Parliament Jamie Schmale for a look at the hottest topics hitting Canada’s political landscape, and how they might impact Canadians.
