Canada’s Immigration System: Once the Gold Standard
July 14, 2026
Canada’s immigration system was once the gold standard under the Harper government. It was fair, secure, and built on enforcing the rules. After a decade of mismanagement, that reputation has been eroded.
The Auditor General uncovered more than 153,000 suspected cases of international student permit fraud, yet the Liberals still can’t explain how many of those individuals remain in Canada or received additional visas. Meanwhile, despite identifying Iranian regime operatives who should be deported, the government has removed only one.
Canadians deserve an immigration system that welcomes those who follow the rules, enforces our laws, and protects our national security.
Costas Menegakis joins me on the Blueprint: Canada’s Conservative Podcast to talk about how our immigration system lost its way, the growing concerns over fraud and national security, and what it will take to restore the integrity Canadians expect.

We must stand up for Canadians.
February 24, 2026
What we are witnessing across the country is an unemployment crisis unfolding while non-permanent residents outnumber unemployed Canadians. That’s not a plan, it’s a failure.
The current government keeps expanding immigration streams, ignoring the 3 million temporary residents with permits expiring by 2026, and the very real strain on our housing market, healthcare system, and job opportunities.
We have the talent right here at home, future doctors, pilots, skilled tradespeople, military recruits, and industry leaders that are ready to step up.
Brad Redekopp joins me on the Blueprint: Canada’s Conservative Podcast to dive deeper into this issue affecting the livelihoods of families and workers nationwide.

Everything is broken.
January 4, 2023
Everything is broken. From backlogs in passport processing, the highest level of taxes in Canadian history, 60 thousand immigration files that had been left to non existent staff or the ethics violations, it is time to bring accountability to Ottawa and fix the very broken system. Thank you to our guest Chris Warkentin MP for joining us on the latest episode of the Blueprint discussing the current issues in Ottawa.
