The Emergencies Act

February 22, 2022

Yesterday, the Liberals, propped up by the NDP, voted to extend the Emergencies Act, allowing government to use vast new powers to keep Canada in a state of emergency. After weeks of dividing and stigmatizing Canadians, Justin Trudeau and his government has shifted their efforts to power grabbing. While the Finance Minister is looking to make these provision permanent, Conservatives will continue to fight for a free and democratic society. To shed light on this event, we are joined by John Brassard, Member of Parliament for Barrie-Innisfil and House Leader of the Official Opposition, and Blaine Calkins, Member of Parliament for Red Deer-Lacombe and Chief Opposition Whip.

Join host and Member of Parliament Jamie Schmale for a look at the hottest topics hitting Canada’s political landscape, and how they might impact Canadians.
