Canada’s Housing Affordability Crisis

June 16, 2021

Canada is in a housing affordability crisis. It is becoming impossible for first-time buyers to enter the housing market, and ever-increasing rents squeeze families’ budgets. As Justin Trudeau continues to ignore calls to action from Canadians, the dream of homeownership is pushed further out of reach. This overwhelming unaffordability stems from the Liberal Government’s support for a system that doesn’t allow for the creation of sufficient supply, that favours foreign investors over Canadians, and which ignores ongoing money laundering in real estate. To shed light on this crisis, we are joined by Brad Vis, MP, MP, Member of Parliament for Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, and Shadow Minister for Housing.

Join host and Member of Parliament Jamie Schmale for a look at the hottest topics hitting Canada’s political landscape, and how they might impact Canadians.
