Defacing Statues and Monuments: A Troubling Trend

Recently, a mob vandalized and beheaded a statue of Sir John A. Macdonald in Montreal. A monument dedicated to the memory of Canadian Peacekeepers was vandalized in Calgary. We will not build a better future for Canada by tearing down symbols of democracy and defacing monuments. On the Blueprint, host Jamie Schmale speaks with Garnett Genuis, MP for Sherwood Park—Fort Saskatchewan, about these incidents and why it’s important for Canadian politicians to stand up for Canada.
